On March 5, Griner signed the contract for the “Rehabilitation, Expansion and Equipping of the 1º de Maio Secondary School”. The official act was attended by the Minister of Education, Luísa Maria Alves.
The project covers a series of improvements to the school’s facilities, including the rehabilitation of laboratories, teachers’ and principals’ rooms.
New infrastructures will also be implemented, including the construction of an auditorium, a medical center, a library and a reading room, as well as work on the sports court and repairs to the exterior spaces.
With a focus on accessibility, the work will include the creation of an access ramp to the second floor, as well as the installation of adapted toilets for people with motor disabilities, thus meeting the needs of students and users with reduced mobility.
The project is expected to be completed within the next six months.
